Web design for electricians, built for the phone in someone's hand

Your customer isn't at a desk. They're stood in the room with the problem, phone in hand, deciding between you and the next sparky. Your website has seconds to look safe and make you one tap to call. That's exactly what I build it to do.

Most electricians’ websites make the same mistake: they’re built like a brochure to be read, when they should be built like a tool to get you called. Your customer didn’t stumble onto your site for a browse. They’ve got a tripping circuit, a dodgy socket, a landlord certificate due, or an EV charger they want fitting — and they’re comparing you against the next electrician right now, on a phone, with about ten seconds of patience. Everything I build is aimed at winning that ten seconds.

The phone number is the hero

Nobody with a fault wants a contact form with ten boxes. So on your site, on every single screen, your number is a big, obvious, one-tap call — thumb-reachable, impossible to miss — with a simple “get a quote” option next to it for the jobs that aren’t urgent. It’s built mobile-first because that’s where nearly every electrical enquiry begins: someone standing in the room with the problem. The less they have to do to reach you, the more of them actually do.

Look safe in three seconds flat

Letting a stranger loose on your wiring is a trust decision, and people make it fast. So the site has to shout “legit and safe” instantly: your NICEIC, NAPIT or Part P registration shown clearly, real photos of your jobs (never stock), and genuine reviews right where they land. That combination — accredited, proven, recommended — is what makes someone pick you over the cheaper name with no badges and no photos. It’s reassurance doing the selling before you’ve spoken.

Built around the jobs you actually want

A fault call-out and a full rewire are different customers, and the pricey, satisfying work — rewires, consumer unit upgrades, EICRs, EV charger installs, commercial and landlord work — is usually the stuff you’d like more of. So rather than a vague “domestic and commercial electrician” page, I build the site to make those specific services clear and easy to enquire about, so you attract more of the work worth having and less of the tenner-to-change-a-bulb stuff.

Fast, tidy, and no faff for you

You don’t need a sprawling site or an online shop — you need a lean, quick one that loads instantly and does one job brilliantly: get you the call. I handle the hosting and the technical side so you never think about it, and if you want a couple of new job photos added after a good week, you message me and it’s done. You stay on the tools; the site quietly brings the work in.

You deal with me throughout — no agency, no juniors, no jargon — and you own the site and domain at the end, no lock-in. If you’d also like to rank for “electrician near me” and the job searches in your area, that’s the SEO side; but a site that turns your existing visitors into calls is the right place to start.

Questions

The things people usually ask

Do I even need a website if I'm on Checkatrade and Facebook?
You need somewhere that's actually yours. On a directory you're one of a list and paying for the privilege; a Facebook page is rented ground you don't control. Your own site is where a customer checking you out sees your work, your accreditations and your reviews with nothing else competing for their attention — and it's the thing that makes you look established rather than a bloke with a van.
Can people call me straight from it?
That's the number one job. On every screen your phone number is a single tap to call, with a simple quote request alongside for jobs that can wait. Most of your visitors are on a phone with a problem right now, so everything's built to get them talking to you in seconds, not filling in forms.
Can I show my NICEIC, Part P and reviews?
Yes — and you should, prominently. Your accreditations (NICEIC, NAPIT, Part P) are proof you're legit and safe, and your reviews and real job photos back that up. I build all of it in and keep it easy to add to, so after a good job you can drop a couple of new photos on.
What does it cost?
From £249 as a fixed price, agreed before a wire's touched — a fraction of agency money, and the site and domain are yours. Bigger job with more to it, I'll quote it clearly up front.
