SEO in Liverpool, from someone who's actually here

I'm a Liverpool-based web designer who gets local businesses found on Google, not a faceless agency chasing every city in the country. This is my patch, and getting Liverpool businesses ranking is what I do.

Getting found on Google in Liverpool is competitive, it’s a big city with a lot of businesses fighting for the same local searches, and it’s where I work, because it’s where I’m from. I’m a Liverpool-based web designer, not a national agency treating your city as one more entry on a spreadsheet, and getting local businesses found on Google is a core part of what I do. That means someone who actually knows the place, does the honest practical work, and picks up the phone when you call. If you run a business here and you’re not showing up when local people search, sorting that out is exactly my sort of job.

Local, and it shows in the work

There’s a real difference between local SEO done by someone who knows the city and local SEO done from an office hundreds of miles away. I know Liverpool’s areas, its markets and the competition you’re actually up against, so I’m working from the real picture rather than guessing at it. And because it’s just me, you deal with one person who knows your business, no account managers, no call-centre runaround. For getting found around Liverpool specifically, that grounding and that direct line both make a difference.

Honest work, real results

I won’t promise you number one by Friday, because that’s not a promise anyone can honestly make. What I can show you is real, verifiable work, including a Liverpool business I’ve helped reach number one on Google for their area. I do the practical, unglamorous things that steadily climb the local results: your Google presence, the on-site foundations, and the wider signals Google trusts. Steady, honest progress beats flashy promises that never land, and it’s how the results above actually happened.

The practical local groundwork

For most Liverpool businesses, getting found starts with the map results and the foundations beneath them: a properly optimised Google Business Profile, consistent business listings across the web, a steady flow of genuine reviews, and a fast, clearly-structured website underneath it all. Sorted together, they compound into a business that quietly gets found and keeps getting found. If you’d like the full method, it’s laid out on my getting found on Google page.

Website and SEO, joined up

The site and the SEO work best when they’re built together, which is the advantage of getting both from one person. If your site needs sorting as part of this, my Liverpool web design is the same one-person, fair-price approach, a fast, findable site built from the ground up to be found, rather than SEO bolted onto something that fights it. If you’re a smaller outfit weighing it all up, there’s a page on small business web design in Liverpool too.

Fair, upfront pricing

Some of this is one-off, fixed-price work, a Google Business Profile setup, a ranking audit, a citations push, with clear starting prices from around £120–£150, so you’re never signing up to an open-ended bill. Where ongoing help makes sense, we agree exactly what that looks like, with no lock-in. You’ll always know what you’re paying and why.

What Liverpool's kind of business says

Real, verified reviews, never invented. Proud of the 5.0 rating.

“We asked Jake to help us create a new website as our old one was outdated and was not doing well with SEO. Our new website looks amazing and we are now ranking number 1 on Google! Very happy and would definitely recommend.”

Debbie Collins Google review

“Absolutely amazing service. Jake built me a professional local website and helped get my business ranking number one in my area. I'd previously spent hundreds of pounds on ads with very little to show for it, but since getting the website and local SEO sorted, I've seen a real difference. Jake now takes care of my local SEO for me, so I can focus on running the business while the enquiries and jobs keep coming in. Couldn't recommend Jake enough to any local business looking to get found on Google and bring in more work.”

“Top quality service from Jake. Communication was on point from the moment go, being able to talk directly to Jake unlike a big provider made the experience so much easier and better. Needed a website for my kitchen that I could easily add, edit and remove things like menus and photos, and Jake did just that and more. Exactly what I needed. Thanks for everything Jake!”

Questions

The things people usually ask

Being Liverpool-based, does that actually help with my SEO?
For local SEO, genuinely yes. I know the city, the areas and the competition first-hand, so I'm not guessing at the local picture from an office three hundred miles away. Just as importantly, you get a real person here you can actually talk to, rather than an account handler in a call centre reading from a script. For getting found in and around Liverpool, that local grounding and that direct line both count.
Can you really get me to the top of Google?
I'll be honest, as always: no one can promise a specific position, and anyone who does is telling porkies. What I can point to is real work, I've helped a Liverpool business get to number one on Google for their area, and it's verifiable, not a made-up stat. I do the honest, practical work that climbs the results steadily; I don't sell magic. If you want the full picture of how, see getting found on Google.
Do I need a whole new website, or can you work with mine?
Often I can work with what you've got. A lot of local SEO, your Google Business Profile, your listings, the on-site basics, improves your existing site. If it's so slow or dated that it's genuinely holding you back, I'll say so honestly, and a Liverpool web design rebuild might make more sense. But I won't push one you don't need.
What does it cost?
It depends what you need, some want a one-off setup, others ongoing help. There are fixed-price starting points from around £120–£150, all agreed up front, with no open-ended retainers you can't escape.
