Value for money, the Winsford way

Winsford’s always had a sensible head on it. It’s one of Cheshire’s bigger towns, it’s grown fast, and it’s never been the sort of place that pays over the odds for the sake of it. That practical, get-your-money’s-worth attitude is exactly how I like to build websites, no flashy extras you’ll never use, no padded invoice, just a proper site that does a real job for a fair price.

So that’s the promise up top. You get a website that looks the part and works hard, built by one person you can actually talk to, from £249. No agency markup, no account manager passing your emails around a building. Just me, doing the work, at a price that makes sense for a Winsford business.

Built for a two-sided town

Here’s what makes Winsford a bit different to plan for. You’ve got the everyday consumer side, the salons, the takeaways, the garages, the shops people use on the school run. And then you’ve got the Winsford Industrial Estate, one of the larger estates in the region, humming with firms that sell to other firms rather than to the public.

Those two need very different websites, and I build for both. A consumer site wants to be warm, quick and easy to book or ring from a phone. A business-to-business site wants to earn trust fast, clear on what you make, supply or fit, easy for a buyer to get a quote, and confident enough to stand up next to bigger competitors. I’ve no fixed template I bend everyone into. I start with who your customer actually is and build out from there.

The kind of site that keeps working

There’s a reason Winsford’s known for the rock-salt mine under the town, steady, dependable, quietly doing its job year after year. I like websites to be a bit like that. Not a one-off splash that looks tired by next spring, but something solid you can lean on.

That means it loads fast, reads well on a phone, and turns visitors into enquiries instead of just sitting there looking pretty. I’ll write it so it’s clear and human, set it up so Google can find it, and make sure the important stuff, how to reach you, what you do, why you’re worth a call, is never more than a tap away. Practical, not precious.

How I actually work

Dead simple. We have a chat about your business and what you’re after. I send you a fixed price so you know exactly where you stand, no surprises, that’s the whole point. Then I build it, show you as it comes together, and get your say-so before anything goes live.

You end up owning the site and the domain, free and clear. If you’d rather not pay a lump sum, the pay-monthly option from £69 a month (dropping to £30/mo once the build’s paid off) covers the build, the hosting and the ongoing care in one tidy payment. And if you want help getting found on Google down the line, that’s an add-on you can bolt on whenever it suits, no obligation to take it on day one.

A local river, a local business

Winsford grew up around the River Weaver and the Flashes, and the town’s still got that down-to-earth, no-nonsense feel that I genuinely like working with. You don’t need selling to with clever talk. You need someone who’ll do a good job, charge you fairly, and be there when you need a small change made.

That’s me. One person, one clear price, and a website you’ll be glad you paid for.

What Winsford's kind of business says

Real, verified reviews, never invented. Proud of the 5.0 rating.

“We asked Jake to help us create a new website as our old one was outdated and was not doing well with SEO. Our new website looks amazing and we are now ranking number 1 on Google! Very happy and would definitely recommend.”

Debbie Collins Google review

“Absolutely amazing service. Jake built me a professional local website and helped get my business ranking number one in my area. I'd previously spent hundreds of pounds on ads with very little to show for it, but since getting the website and local SEO sorted, I've seen a real difference. Jake now takes care of my local SEO for me, so I can focus on running the business while the enquiries and jobs keep coming in. Couldn't recommend Jake enough to any local business looking to get found on Google and bring in more work.”

“Top quality service from Jake. Communication was on point from the moment go, being able to talk directly to Jake unlike a big provider made the experience so much easier and better. Needed a website for my kitchen that I could easily add, edit and remove things like menus and photos, and Jake did just that and more. Exactly what I needed. Thanks for everything Jake!”

Questions

The things people usually ask

You're in Liverpool, not Winsford, does that matter?
Not really. Almost everything gets done over a call, email and a shared screen, so you see the site take shape without either of us sitting in traffic. Winsford's a straight run down the M56 if a face-to-face genuinely helps, and I'm happy to make it. But the finished website is exactly the same either way, the address I work from never shows up in the result.
How much does a website cost?
Websites start from £249, and we agree the full price up front before I begin, so there's no creeping bill. If you'd rather spread it, there's a pay-monthly option from £69 a month (dropping to £30/mo once the build's paid off) that rolls the build, hosting and ongoing care into one. Either way you own the site and the domain outright, with no lock-in.
Can you build something for a business-to-business firm, not just shops?
Yes, that's a big part of what I do here. A lot of Winsford's trade is firm-to-firm, so I build sites that speak to buyers and procurement people, not just walk-in customers, clear on what you supply, easy to get a quote from, and quick to load on a phone from a depot or a van.
How long until it's live?
Usually about two weeks from the point I've got your words and any photos. I'll keep you posted the whole way and won't vanish once it's live, small changes and updates are part of the care option if you want it.
