A town with two engines
Sandbach wears its character on its sleeve. The cobbled market square, those two weathered Saxon crosses that have stood there longer than anyone can really get their head round, the Thursday market that still pulls people in from all over. It’s a proper old Cheshire market town, and it looks it.
But nip a couple of minutes out toward Junction 17 and you meet the other Sandbach, the one that builds lorries, moves freight and keeps a fair chunk of the country’s goods rolling. Foden and ERF didn’t land this town on the map by accident. It’s equal parts heritage and horsepower, and I think a good local website has to understand which of those you’re in.
I’m Jake. I build proper websites for small businesses, and I do it as one real person you can actually talk to. No agency, no account manager, no being handed round a team of strangers who’ve never seen your business.
For the independents around the square
If you’re one of the shops, cafés, salons or little independents that give Sandbach its charm, your website’s job is simple: help the people already fond of the town find you, trust you, and pop in. That means clear opening times, a menu or a service list that isn’t a faff to update, photos that look like you rather than a stock library, and pages that load quick on a phone while someone’s stood in the square deciding where to go.
I keep these sites warm and easy to use, because that’s what suits the place. Nobody wandering the market on a Thursday wants to wrestle with a clever, overbuilt website. They want to know you’re open and where you are.
For the businesses working off the M6
The other half of what I do here is the serious end, haulage, logistics, plant, engineering, the B2B firms that make Sandbach’s location off Junction 17 such an asset. These sites have a different job. They’re often the first thing a buyer, a broker or a bigger operator sees before they decide whether to trust you with real money and real deadlines.
So I build them to look capable and credible, to explain plainly what you do and who you do it for, and to make getting a quote or a callback dead easy. No fluff, no jargon, just a site that quietly reassures the person on the other end that you’re the real deal. If getting found on Google matters for the kind of work you chase, I can help with that as an add-on too.
The way I actually work
However big or small the job, you’re dealing with me the whole way through. We’ll have a proper chat about what you need, I’ll come back with a fixed price so you know exactly where you stand, and then I build it, showing you progress as we go rather than vanishing and reappearing weeks later.
Most sites are live in about two weeks. You can message me and get a real reply from the person who built the thing, not a ticket number. That’s the bit agencies quietly lose along the way, and it’s the bit I care about most.
Straight prices, and the site is yours
Websites start from £249, agreed up front, no creeping costs. Prefer to spread it? There’s a pay-monthly option from £69/mo (dropping to £30/mo once the build’s paid off) that wraps the build, hosting and ongoing care into one simple amount, so you’re not juggling bills or wondering who to ring when something needs changing.
Either way, you own your website and your domain. No lock-in, no clever contracts, nothing held over you. If you ever wanted to walk, you could take it with you, I just don’t think you’d want to.
Whether you’re behind a counter on the square or running loads off the motorway, I’d genuinely like to help. Drop me a line and let’s talk about what your Sandbach business needs.
